Monsanto RoundUp lawsuit Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and cancer cases

If you or a loved one were diagnosed with blood cancer such as Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after using Roundup weed killer herbicides products, you may be entitled to recover compensation from a Roundup lawsuit case or settlement claim.

A team of products liability injury lawyers and class action attorneys is investigating claims of individuals who were diagnosed with blood cancers such as Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after regularly using, working with or being exposed to Monsanto’s (now Bayer’s) Roundup weed killer, an herbicide product used to kill weeds and grasses.

Roundup is a non-selective herbicide designed to kill all plants or weeds in an application area (i.e., it does not distinguish between species ). Roundup products contain, among other things, the chemical ingredient glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl) glycine), an herbicide used by farmers and others throughout the nation.

Unfortunately, chemicals in Roundup may be linked to an increased risk of cancer, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Roundup Cancer Lawsuit Complaints

Thousands of individuals who claim to have been exposed to Roundup herbicide have filed lawsuits seeking to recover money damages for injuries suffered as a result of their exposure to Roundup weedkiller products. According to the Roundup lawsuit complaints, plaintiffs developed cancer, such as non-Hodgkins lymphoma, after being exposed to Roundup.

The Roundup lawsuit complaints allege that Roundup substantially contributed to and/or caused plaintiffs to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup over the course of several or more years. Many plaintiffs also allege that following their non-hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis, they suffered numerous effects attendant to non-hodgkin’s lymphoma such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions and radiation.

Plaintiffs in the Roundup cancer lawsuit complaints allege, among other things, that Defendant Monsanto knew or should have known that Roundup can cause non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and that it failed to warn consumers about the alleged health risks of Roundup.

The Roundup lawsuit cases assert legal claims for, among other things, Design Defect, Failure to Warn, Negligence, Breach of Express Warranty, and Breach of Implied Warranty of Merchantability.

Roundup lawsuits filed in federal courts have been consolidated for pre-trial proceedings into a multi district litigation (MDL), styled In Re Roundup Products Liability Litigation, Case No. 3:16-md-02741, MDL No. 2741, U.S. District Court, Northern District California (Judge Vince Chhabria). Roundup lawsuits filed in state courts have also been consolidated, including in Pennsylvania, California, and Missouri.
