If you or a loved one were diagnosed with Sézary Syndrome or Sézary Disease after being exposed to Roundup herbicide products, you may be entitled to recover compensation from a Sézary Syndrome lawsuit case or settlement claim.
Sézary Syndrome (SS) is a leukemic form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL), a subtype of t-cell non-hodgkin lymphoma in which abnormal t-cells (called Sézary’s cells or Lutzner cells) in the skin grow out of control. Sézary Syndrome is an aggressive blood cancer.
Signs and symptoms of Sézary Syndrome can include erythroderma (redness of the skin, often resulting in a rash or skin lesions covering 80 percent of the body), lymphadenopathy (swollen and enlarged lympth nodes), the presence of clonally related neoplastic T cells with cerebriform nuclei (Sezary cells) in skin, lymph nodes and peripheral blood, hepatosplenomegaly (enlarged liver and spleen) and a thickening of palms of the hands or soles of the feet (palmoplantar keratoderma).
Sézary Syndrome accounts for almost 5% of all cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. It is more common in older males. In the U.S., there about 0.8 to 0.9 Sézary Syndrome cases per million persons per year.
