BiPAP Lawsuit: Were You (or a Loved One) Injured After Using a Bi-PAP Machine or Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure Device?

BiPAP Lawsuit cases settlement claims Bi-PAP Bi-Level PAP Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure Device

If you or a loved one were injured after using a Bi-PAP machine or bi-level positive airway pressure device, you may be entitled to compensation from a BiPAP lawsuit case or settlement claim.

A team of medical device injury lawyers and class action attorneys is investigating potential lawsuit and settlement cases of individuals who claim to have been injured after using certain recalled BiPAP machines or bi-level positive airway pressure devices containing sound abatement foam made of polyester-based polyurethane PE-PUR.

A BiPAP, Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure, Bi-PAP, BPAP or Bi-Level PAP machine is a form of ventilator device that uses a type of positive airway pressure (PAP) whereby, through a hose and mask system, compressed air is used to open and support the airway during sleep via two levels of pressure, one for inhalation and one for exhalation.

Unlike CPAP machines which deliver a continous level of air pressure, BiPAP machines have two different air pressure settings: when a patient breathes in, the BiPAP machines delivers more air pressure (inspiratory positive airway pressure or IPAP) and when a patient breathes out, the device reduces the air pressure (expiratory positive airway pressure or EPAP). The lower pressure on exhalation provided by a BiPAP device can make it easier and more comfortable for patients to breath out.

Bi-PAP machines are often used to treat patients who have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea, complex sleep apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, and/or a neurological or neuromuscular disorder, among others.
