If you or a loved one used a vape pen, e-cigarette, or other vaping device and suffered injuries from vaping, you may be entitled to recover compensation from a vaping lawsuit or settlement.

A team of injury lawyers and class action attorneys is investigating potential vape lawsuit and settlement claims of individuals who claim to have suffered injuries as a result of vaping or smoking e-cigarettes.

Vape pens, e-cigarettes and other vaping devices are devices that operate by heating a liquid solution (e-liquid) to a temperature that is high enough to produce an aerosol (also referred to as a vapor) that is inhaled. Inhaling the vape is commonly referred to as vaping or vaporizing (or, in the case of Juul, it is commonly referred to as Juuling).

Vaping Lawsuit Cases and Vape Settlement Claims

Vaping lawsuit cases and vape settlement claims potentially being investigated include claims of individuals, including young adults and teenagers, who used a vape pen, e-cigarette or vaping device and suffered injuries, side-effects or complications after vaping including:

Is Vaping Bad For You?

Vaping can be potentially harmful to ones health and safety. Vaping and e-cigarette lawsuits have recently been filed alleging, among other things, that vaping may be linked to serious injuries, illness and health problems. Vaping health risks and dangers may include:

  • Inhalation of potentially toxic chemicals
  • Ingestion or exposure to e-liquids
  • Exploding vape pens or e-cigarette batteries
  • Secondhand exposure to aerosol or vapors
  • Addiction to nicotine

Some vaping solutions (e-liquids or vape-juice) may contain nicotine, flavoring chemicals (such as diacetyl), humectant (such as propylene glycol or vegetable glycol), volatile organic compounds, ultrafine particles that can be inhaled deep into the lungs and other products or potentially harmful chemicals (such as acrolein and benzene), among other things. Some aerosol may contain chemical particles from the e-liquid and/or the vape device (such as heavy metals from the heating coils including nickel, tin or lead or formaldehyde if the e-liquid overheats or if there is not enough liquid in the heating element, known as a dry puff).

According to the U.S. Surgeon General, E-cigarette use poses a significant and avoidable health risk to young people in the United States (including brain development risks, nicotine addiction, battery explosions, and risk of exposure to potentially harmful chemicals, such as diacetyl, benzene and heavy metals).
