If you or a loved one were diagnosed with popcorn lung (a/k/a bronchiolitis obliterans) after vaping, Juuling or using an e-cigarette, you may be entitled to recover compensation from a popcorn lung lawsuit or settlement.

A team of injury lawyers and class action attorneys is investigating potential vaping lawsuit and settlement claims of individuals who were diagnosed with popcorn lung (i.e., bronchiolitis obliterans) after vaping, Juuling or inhaling vapors from an e-cigarette.

Popcorn lung (also known as obliterative bronchiolitis, bronchiolitis obliterans, constrictive bronchiolitis, butter lung or flavorings-related lung disease) is a rare and life threatening condition that causes inflammation and scarring in the lung tissues and bronchioles (the lung’s smallest airways). It is called “popcorn lung” because several years ago employees at a microwave popcorn factory became ill after breathing in diacetyl (a flavored chemical used to give popcorn a buttery flavor).

Popcorn lung may be caused by breathing in harmful chemicals or toxins such as diacetyl. According to the American Lung Association, popcorn lung is a dangerous risk of flavored E-cigarettes, since many e-cigarettes may contain chemicals such as diacetyl. Researchers conducting a study on flavoring chemicals in e-cigarettetes found that 39 of 51 e-cigarette brands they tested contained diacetyl and that many also contained similar chemicals such as pentanedione and acetoin.

  • Rapid breathing
  • Exhaustion and feeling tired
  • Irritation to skin, eye, mouth or nose
