The CDC is calling the vaping related lung disease EVALI or “e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury.”

EVALI lung injury lawsuit and settlement cases potentially being investigated include claims of individuals who suffered from possible EVALI or e-cigarette or vaping product use-associated lung injury, including those who have had:
- Lung disease
- Pneumonia
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease COPD
- Asthma
- Respiratory failure
- Popcorn lung
- Hypersensitivity pneumonitis
- Collapsed lung
- Breathing issues
- Respiratory distress
- Other lung injury
In its report, the CDC recommends that persons consider refraining from using e-cigarette, or vaping, products that contain nicotine. The CDC also stated that e-cigarette, or vaping, products should never be used by youths, young adults, or women who are pregnant and that persons who do not currently use tobacco products should not start using e-cigarette, or vaping, products.
