The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced an outbreak of severe lung disease associated with e-cigarette use (including vaping, vape juice, e-liquids, refill pods, and/or cartridges). According to a University of Rochester Medical Center study, vaping was associated with increased risk of wheezing and respiratory symptoms. A study presented in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine concluded that vaping is a long term risk factor for respiratory disease.
