If you or a loved one suffered a blood clot after vaping or using an e-cigarette, you may be entitled to recover compensation from a vape blood clot lawsuit or settlement.
A team of products liability injury lawyers and class action attorneys is investigating potential vape injury lawsuit and settlement claims of individuals who suffered a blood clot after vaping or using e-cigarettes.
A blood clot (also known as thrombus) is a gel-like clump of blood that forms when blood thickens into a semi-solid state (i.e,. blood coagulation). When blood clots form inside veins (venous thrombosis) or arteries (arterial thrombosis) without good reason and don’t resolve, they can be potentially harmful, obstructing the flow of blood or traveling to the heart or brain where they could cause a heart attack or stroke.
According to a study presented in the Journal of American Heart Association, vaping can lead to blood clots in mice. The study reportedly found that platelets in mice (i.e., components inside blood that help blood clots to form) that were exposed to electronic cigarette vapors became hyperactive or overactive resulting in the formation of blood clots. In another study presented by the American College of Cardiology, the incidence of blood clots was reported to be higher among vapers.
